Skills for growth: the workforce development program
The Skills for Growth Program is a workforce planning and development program designed to deliver customised on the job training for employees from all industry sectors and job roles. Phalanx Consulting has been appointed by the state Government to deliver
the Skills for Growth Program to SME's across Victoria.
Assessing your business's skills gaps and workforce development needs can be a complex task , however eligible SMEs gain FREE access to workforce planning to identify their strategic aims and objectives and put together a Workforce Development and Training Plan. You will also receive assistance to find the most appropriate accredited training courses and delivery method for your individual business needs.
What the Program Delivers
Through the Skills for Growth Program, we will deliver:
- An on-site business review;
- A Workforce Skills Needs Analysis;
- A Tailored Training Plan for each employee;
- Assistance and advice on funded placements; and
- Assistance with placement into an accredited Training Packages.
Costs & Eligibility
The service delivered by your Phalanx Workforce Development Specialist is 100% subsidised by the Victorian Government. Subsequent vocational training of employees may also be subsidised by The Victorian Training Guarantee funding scheme. Skills for Growth is open to all Victorian-based SMEs across any industry. To be eligible your business must:
- Employ between 1 and 200 staff;
- Have been in operation for at least 12 months; and
- Be financially viable.
