The Challenge
Our client is a manufacturer of agricultural air based grain distribution systems and commercial evaporative cooling applications. The business also retails the domestic/commercial air conditioning systems. Founded in 1974, the company has grown considerably with management handed down through the founder’s family. Although the business has maintained success across the generations, it became apparent there was a need to review practices and evolve the business to meet the demands of a modern business environment. Phalanx Consulting Group was engaged to create and implement a Quality Management System capable of being certified, maintained and easily updated under ISO 9001.
Our Solution
An audit was conducted to assess current processes and a report was developed that:
- Identified and reviewed the client’s existing processes;
- Produced a Gap Analysis to identify the systems required;
- Outlined an implementation and project plan; and
- Identified what documentation for the new Quality Management System was required to provide control measures to maintain compliance.
Results Delivered
Working collaboratively with the business’ management and staff to develop and implement all facets of their Quality Assurance system, the following outcomes were achieved:
- Defined quality policy and objectives to ensure customer quality requirements are achieved and measurable;
- Defined processes to allow proper management of the system;
- Developed work instruction and process models to allow for the correct use of the system;
- Developed and implemented processes which allow the client to self manage their HR activities; and
- Developed and implemented a system for corrective action if quality issues occur.
