The Challenge

Our client, a national engineering services company, provides manufacturing and maintenance services to the mining and heavy general engineering and construction industries. The Managing Director engaged Phalanx Consulting Group to create and implement a Quality Management System capable of being certified under ISO 9001 and which could be easily updated as new standards were issued from ISO.

Our Services

An audit was conducted to assess current processes and a report identifying the following was developed:
  • Quality management system status;
  • Gap analysis and systems required;
  • Implementation and project plan; and
  • Documentation of Quality Management System required to provide control measures to maintain compliance.

Results Delivered

We worked directly with the business’s management and staff to develop and implement all facets of their Quality Assurance system:
  • Implemented internal auditing system, which reviews processes and maintains a continuous improvement culture.
  • Defined Quality Policy which outlines the direction of the organisation and business initiatives which are measurable to ensure client/ customer quality requirements are achieved;
  • Implemented a scorecard system to monitor established KPIs; and
  • Developed and implemented a system for corrective action if quality issues occur.
